Welcome!

Life Is Ministry

If you’re like me, then you already know that you are called by God, and the life you live is meant to impact an entire generation. However, you may also be wondering the validity of some of your experiences. Was it really necessary for me to mess that thing up? Did I really have to fall, make a fool of myself, find myself limping until I developed enough strength to walk, for God to make his point? Did I really need all that to become the person I am today?

Timothy ____ reminds us that our lives are all for God’s Glory. Every breath, every fall, every victory.

If I’m honest, it is not always an easy truth to swallow.

But Hey. That’s why you’re here. Let’s figure it out together.

-Desan Watson

Most importantly, I am a child of God. During the original conception of this website, I was serving as the President for Campus Kairos (Campus Crusade For Christ, Jamaica) and Sunday School Choir Director at church. Times has passed and I am a much improved individual. Nevertheless, I believe the articles written back then (2017-2020) still holds beautiful significance.

If you are looking for real life stories of a Christian’s journey to living a Christ-directed life, tutorials with practical steps to becoming better versions of yourself, testimonials, prayers and poems, then you are at the right place.

A Biochemistry Girl

It took me three years to realize that Biochemistry is an Art – Desan Watson

Growing up, all I wanted to be was a doctor. I just knew that it was a MUST for me to one day be in a position to help people. Of course, my little mind didn’t understand that helping people was not subjected to being a doctor.

I went through the school system with a set plan; get good grades and get into med school. I had it all planned out. With an added touch of ‘become a doctor, get married and have triplet girls by 30.’

The plan was all perfect, EXCEPT for one critical thing.

I wasn’t as brilliant as I wanted to be.

Truth is, I struggled in school. Materials that would take my classmates a day or two to study, took me weeks to understand. Growing up, I struggled with accepting myself for who I was. I didn’t like myself, because what I needed my body and my brain to accomplish, it wouldn’t let me.

I was an excellent Math, English and Religious Education student, but that was it. Everything else was a struggle to retain.

With all said and done, I still became a Biochemistry girl.

I am constantly amazed at the wonders of God. Where I am today is 100% owed to the mercies of God. I watched God heal my heart from pain, doubts, insecurities and most of all, the constant battle in my mind of whether or not I was good enough.

After leaving High School, instead of Medicine, God made a way and the opportunity came for Biochemistry. Accepting the opportunity was a blessing, but as you would have guessed, the struggles didn’t end there. I didn’t automatically get brilliant at University. However, what I can say, is that

I Found Me…..
